My Story
The Beginning
While attending Brigham Young University, I discovered my passion for athletics and using technology to solve problems.
I joined the BYU Dunk Team in 2021 and since then have performed at hundreds of different events doing acrobatic dunks, flips, and stunts. We performed everywhere from elementary schools to stadiums full of thousands of people.
Around the same time, I began steering my education in the direction of information systems and software development.
The Dunk Team App
While on the team, I noticed that the scheduling and coordination of our many events was difficult. We went through several different possible solutions, from Google Calendar and Zoomshift to other apps.
None of the tools ever stuck, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I built a custom scheduling app over several months that had everything we needed. It not only met our needs but boosted our efficiency and increased enthusiasm and engagement from the team.

It wasn't too much later when I realized this tool I created for my team could be used in many other settings. I set to work to convert it to an app that could be used by any team that wants to improve their coordination and boost their productivity.
